Former Nev. first lady Dawn Gibbons to re-marry
RENO, Nev. (AP) -- Former Nevada first lady Dawn Gibbons is engaged to another Jim.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports Gibbons' boyfriend, Jim Hooban, proposed at the Tiffany & Co. store inside the Bellagio resort in Las Vegas on Valentine's Day.
Gibbons' 24-year marriage to former Gov. Jim Gibbons officially ended in 2010. Their messy divorce was the first for a sitting governor in Nevada history.
Dawn Gibbons is a three-term northern Nevada assemblywoman and now works as community relations director for Intermountain West Communications, which owns several TV stations.
Hooban is president of Independent Nevada Doctors Insurance Exchange.
The newspaper reports the two met through mutual friends and started dating last March.
The newly engaged Gibbons says a wedding date hasn't been set, but that the development shows "you can be happy again."
