Police: Woman stabbed to death with a kitchen knife
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A California woman was stabbed to death with a kitchen knife in a fight with her boyfriend at a Las Vegas home, according to police.
Officers were called to the 1500 block of Silver Knoll Avenue, near South Maryland Parkway and East Serene Avenue, late Sunday night.
A woman was found suffering multiple stab wounds. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
The woman's family members identify her as Sharon Jones. She was in her forties.
Jones and her family attended a birthday party at a local Chuck E. Cheese's on Sunday. When the family returned home, relatives say Jones and her boyfriend started fighting.
Police said the fight escalated, and her boyfriend grabbed a kitchen knife, stabbing her several times.
The man was arrested at the scene. He has not yet been identified by police.
