Owner of Heart Attack Grill denies blame for recent death
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Heart Attack Grill on Fremont Street is being blamed for another death.
Now, one woman is demanding the restaurant make some changes.
We're told the man who died was 54 years old and only weighed 180 pounds.
The owner said his family suffered from a genetic predisposition to heart disease.
This week, a dietitian sent a letter to the City of Las Vegas Planning Department, asking for them to suspend the restaurant's food and alcohol license until they revamp their menu to include healthier options.
Although saddened by the most recent death, the owner said it's not his job to stop people from enjoying his fatty food.
"On those days that you don't want to be reasonable, I am right here to collect your money and sell you a burger this big. Just don't do it every day," said Jon Basso, owner of the Heart Attack Grill.
City officials said they read and respond to every letter they get, but have not decided whether to take action with the request.
