New president for Mirage casino on Las Vegas Strip
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- MGM Resorts International has named Trevor Scherrer as the new president of the Mirage casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
Chief Operating Officer Corey Sanders says Scherrer has 25 years of experience in the gambling industry, and has worked in marketing positions at several Las Vegas casinos including the Bellagio. He was formerly the vice president of operations for the Mirage.
Sanders says Scherrer will oversee improvements at the Mirage, including a new restaurant, updates to the marquee and a remodel of the casino floor. He will replace Felix Rappaport, who stepped down in December.
Scherrer is a native Nevadan and attended the University of Nevada-Reno.
