Clark County Fire Dept. hires first female African-American engineer
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County Fire Department is welcoming its first African-American female engineer.
Jennifer Osborne joined the department back in 2006 as a firefighter.
As an engineer, she will now be driving trucks and coordinating the water supply on fire scenes.
She says it's an honor to be in her new position.
Osborne is a graduate of Colorado State University and worked as a paramedic before joining the fire department.
