  • Our UNLV softball team hosts the Easton Desert Classic this weekend!  In case you missed last weekend's tournament, you are in luck. Check out the full game schedule here. 

  • Happy Valentails! The Animal Foundation hosts Pet Adoption Weekend thisFriday - Sunday.  If you're feeling the love this Valentine's weekend, then think about adopting a furry friend!  Get the schedule of shelter tours and more pawesome things to participate in this pet adoption weekend here. 

  • The Polar Plunge! Who doesn't love to dive in the water during the winter season?  South Point Casino Pool is ready for all participants. Get all the details here. 

  • This event is to benefit David Lowe, who is only 27, and was recently diagnosed with FSGS Renal failure, and is in need of a kidney transplant. While waiting for a transplant, David is on dialysis and is no longer able to work, leaving his wife to work full time and take care of their 10-month old son.
    These past couple months have been hard, both financially and emotionally for the Lowe family. 100% of the donations will go to the Lowe family to help them out during this hard time. If you want to attend the event, please see the above flyer for all the details!

  • Black History month isn't every month!  Get educated and have some fun this weekend at Springs Preserve.  Look forward to live music, food and a very special guest on hand to sign autographs! Learn more details here. 

  • The Color Run is the happiest 5K on Earth and it's coming to Las Vegas this Saturday! Register, wear white and get ready to get color-bombed!  It's messy, but it's fun and you get in some exercise, too.  The Three Square Food Bank is the proud charity partner.  Learn more here. 

  • Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort celebrates 50 years at Lee Canyon Get out to hit the slpes until dusk, then ejoy the nighttime party on the mountain top!  All night drink specials include the Red Bull Bar. Get more info here. 

  • The 10th Annual Gospel Fest kicks off this weekend in the city of Henderson.  This is a two-weekend event in honor of Black History Month.  Join the party and celebrate music, history and culture at Henderson Pavilion. All the details here. 

  • Sugar and Spice and everything nice!  If you love a good farmer's market, you'll love the local artisan foods and fresh produce at this new market. It's thee grand opening event, so you don't want to miss it. It will be a family-friendly, free admission and food truck kind of Saturday. Learn more here.

  • The Andy Warhol exhibit is in town and ready for you to explore!  You only have a limited time to enjoy Warhol's work.  The exhibit is in town now through October 27.  Visit the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art to take a trip down Warhol-memory lane, today.  Need details?   • Las Vegas Mayor's Cup International Showcase  is this Friday thru Monday at Sam Boyd Stadium. Enjoy the Colorado Rapids vs. Chivas USA.  Tickets start at just $10. Learn more here. 

  • This Sunday, from 1pm - 4pm, the Jumo for Joy Foundation collaborates with TAO Las Vegas to host "Dance Against Obesity."  Fitness and nutrition will be the topic of choice.  Some of Vegas' best dance performers will be in there to inspire and teach the kids about dance.  Keep your kids in shape and active.  The event is FREE! Hard to believe  another week has flown by, but we welcome the weekend with open arms!

It's Valentine's weekend which means there's a ton of lovely things to see and do across our beautiful Valley. This is a good time to gather the family and get outdoors. If you missed last weekend's softball tournament at UNLV, here's some good news: the women have another series of games going down this weekend at Eller Media Stadium.  The women's softball Easton Desert Classic kicked off on Thursday and runs through Sunday.

Now if you've been looking for a way to celebrate Black History Month, check out Springs Preserve this weekend.  it's hosting the Black History Month Festival celebrating the contributions of African Americans to our Las Vegas community.  The 4th annual event is going down from 10am to 5pm on Saturday.  $5 for adults and free for kids under 12 years old. This is a great chance to blend education and a lot of fun. Food, step groups, live music... I encourage you to join the festivities!

And here's a local event fit for the health nuts and foodies in the Valley!  The grand opening of Sugar and Spice Farmer's Market is this Saturday at 10 in the morning. No need to chase a food truck, you'll have plenty to choose from, along with food booths and fresh produce. You can catch this farmer's market every Saturday at 2550 Anthem Village Drive in Henderson,  all winter long.
