Fire academy graduation canceled due to cheating allegations
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Academy graduation, scheduled for Thursday, has been canceled due to allegations of cheating.
The City of Las Vegas wrote to Action News, "Due to a possibility of cheating, the city has begun a full investigation into what took place during a written exam given to individuals currently going through the Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Academy."
Because of the ongoing investigation into the matter, the graduation scheduled for Feb. 14 has been canceled.
The city will not comment further on the issue until the investigation is complete, except to say, "Integrity is a core value of the City of Las Vegas and allegations of this nature are taken very seriously."
