Permits approved for rail line between LA and Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Plans for a high-speed rail line between Las Vegas and California are still on track.
Express West presented a status update update to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority on Tuesday.
They say all their federal permits are approved.
Now, it's down to getting the money.
The project is currently waiting on a $5.5 billion grant application. Officials say they can break ground about 18 months after it's approved.
