MAKING LAS VEGAS A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE
Dog groomer donates services to pup featured on Action News
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Even Rusty seemed to know it was a big day when groomer Sheri Silberstein came to pick him up.
Sheri fell in love with Rusty when she saw him in a story Action News aired about Three Square Food Bank. We interviewed his owner, Ardys, about her need to get food from a local pantry, and her desire to keep her faithful friend no matter what.
"He's my company. He's everything. He's like one of my kids. I talk to him like one of my kids," Ardys said.
An animal lover, Sheri sees lots of families give their pets up when times get hard. So she wrote to us, wanting to commend Ardys and offering him a lifetime of grooming.
"This is something I can do. It's a luxury for some people. So when I can do something to help, I really feel that's what made me want to call," Sheri said.
Ardys is overwhelmed that someone saw her story and cared.
"I think it's great. I love it. It's wonderful," said Ardys. "I think more people should do things like that."
