Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to South 17th Street, around 3:15 a.m. Sunday, after a neighbor reported flames and smoke coming from a vacant house.

When crews arrived, flames were coming through the roof of the one-story wood frame house.

Damage was confined to the one home and was estimated at $50,000.

Utilities were disconnected to the house and it was also boarded up.

Firefighters found one door on the back of the house was unlocked. It appeared that squatters or homeless people had been staying at the house.

There were no reported injuries during the incident.
