Dedication held in honor of Black History Month
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- February is Black History Month and residents in one local community received new artwork to commemorate the occasion.
Councilman Ricki Barlow was on hand at the Berkley Square Historic District to unveil new banners and plaques Saturday.
34 banners were dedicated from artwork designed by Joseph Watson.
Berkley Square is considered the first African American housing sub-division here in the Valley.
The district was designated on the National Register of Historic Places back in Oct. 2009.
