Teen shot on the Las Vegas Strip may never walk again
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - A family is working to deal with the harsh reality that their son may never walk again. Jeremy Miller was shot several times in a parking garage on the Las Vegas Strip earlier this week.
Jeremy is recovering at University Medical Center. Among his most serious injuries is a bullet wound to his back that doctors say will leave him unable to walk again.
Family members said Jeremy's friend, who was also shot, is shedding some light on what happened that night when they left the Hard Rock cafe.
He says the shooting happened at the elevators in the parking garage near the movie theater on Las Vegas Boulevard.
Family members are baffled as to why Jeremy was targeted. They say he is a good kid who helped take care of his siblings after his mother died several years ago.
Jeremy now has a long road to recovery. His family has created a fund to help pay for the expensive surgeries he may face in the coming weeks and months. Donations are accepted at Wells Fargo, referencing the name Jeremy Rion Miller #3000102857187.
