Nevada Assembly committee to review gaming bills
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) -- Two bills involving gambling issues are scheduled for review at a Nevada Assembly committee meeting.
AB7 and AB10 will be reviewed by the Assembly Committee on the Judiciary Friday morning.
The first bill allows for the governor to add an academia member with knowledge of gambling to the Gaming Policy Committee, and it adds a subcommittee on gaming education to the main committee. Specific directives of the proposed subcommittee are also outlined.
AB10 expands criminal laws pertaining to gambling to include individuals acting in conjecture with those in violation of the law. It also includes intent to the list of criminal activity relating to the possession, use or manufacture of illegal gambling equipment.
