Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Local law enforcement are assisting police in Southern California with their search for Christopher Dorner, in the event he makes his way to Las Vegas.

According to the FBI, Dorner owns a home in a Southwest Valley neighborhood near Blue Diamond and Ft. Apache. On Thursday, officers cleared the neighborhood for safety reasons while signs posted on the I-15 freeway warned drivers to look out for the pick-up truck belonging to Dorner. Those signs were later taken down when the truck was found charred in California.

According to Dorner's manifesto he posted online Tuesday night, the ex-officer has strong ties to Nevada. He was a commanding officer at the Fallon Naval Air Station. The station confirms he served in the Reserves Security Division in 2009.

It's unclear why, but Dorner also wrote about Clark County Family Court in his manifesto, which stated "you even allow this visibly disgusting officer to stay on the job when she perjures lies in court, Clark County Family Court."

Action News spoke with a local real estate agent on the phone who Dorner writes about in his manifesto as his greatest friend. The agent said he is too emotional to talk on camera.

Another local acquaintance tells Action News, Dorner seemed like a normal guy who was an avid sports shooter. However, Dorner owned an arsenal of guns and ammo and liked to frequent local shooting ranges.
