Decision on gambling in NJ expected today
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas casinos are keeping a close eye on New Jersey this morning. A big decision could come any minute now to legalize Internet gambling in that state.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has until today to sign a bill allowing gamblers to set up accounts with New Jersey casinos and play from their homes.
Many wonder if fewer gamblers will come to Las Vegas as other states consider making similar moves.
New Jersey casinos are fully behind the idea and Christie says that he sees the pros and cons.
Delaware and California are also considering gambling bills this year.
Nevada already has an online poker framework in place that will be debated during this legislative session.
If passed, it will let companies here accept bets from gamblers in other states.
