Action News visits Jimmy Kimmel set
(KTNV) -- 2013 is off to a good start for a former Clark High School student named Jimmy Kimmel.
After 10 years, his late night talk show was moved up to the coveted 11:35 p.m. time slot and he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Action News recently had the opportunity to visit Kimmel's set and talk to the former Las Vegan.
Kimmel told Action News anchor Tina Patel that entertaining late-night audiences and interviewing celebrities was not his dream job.
He says that he actually wanted to stay in Las Vegas and work on a morning radio show.
He also told Tina that when he first started his ABC show, he didn't think it would make it ten years and he was just trying to get through each night.
Kimmel also said that he hopes to bring his show to Las Vegas and that he plans to visit the city soon. He recently donated money for a new computer center at Clark High School and will visit in the spring to attend a dedication ceremony.
