8 cited for soliciting undercover officer for sex
RENO, Nev. (AP) -- Reno detectives say they handed out citations to eight men who solicited an undercover police officer for sex during a prostitution sting.
Authorities say they conducted the sting Tuesday on West Fourth Street in downtown Reno.
Officials say the undercover female officer was approached by eight different men as she walked down the corridor.
The men ranged in age from 21 to 69 and were from the Reno area and northern California. They were issued misdemeanor solicitation citations, which carry a $500 fine.
