New festival headed to downtown Las Vegas, looking for home
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- There is a new festival coming to town this fall and organizers are looking for a home.
City leaders are meeting next week to consider plans to use a vacant, three-acre lot on Fremont Street for the festival.
The Ambassador East motel used to be located on the property.
The Life Is Beautiful Festival is being described as a two-day event that features music, food and art.
In the meantime, organizers will be looking for local bands to be featured at the festival.
To do this, they have put together the Downtown Music Showcases. The first one is scheduled to take place tomorrow night at the Artifice.
The first showcase will feature Rusty Maples, American Cream, Same Sex Mary, Coastwest Unrest, Play For Keeps, and The Perks.
Each band will play for 30 minutes beginning at 8 p.m.
