Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Home Depot has announced that it is planning on hiring 600 people in the Las Vegas valley to work during its busy spring selling season.

Home Depot is hiring 80,000 seasonal workers nationwide. Some of those seasonal jobs good turn into full-time positions. Home Depot says that about half of their seasonal hires turned into regular position last year.

Seasonal workers will be assigned responsibilities based on their previous retail or home improvement experience and based on the needs of individual stores.

Home Depot has also set up on online military skills translator to help match unique military skills with positions within the company.
