Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A monthly safety meeting was held at University of Nevada, Las Vegas on Tuesday to talk about ways to respond to a shooting on campus.
Officials said there haven't been any such threats at UNLV, but they are ready at a moment's notice.
"If we get a call of an active shooter, there is no waiting. We respond, we form up, we identify, we evaluate the assailant and we eliminate the assailant as quickly as possible," said Jose Elique, UNLV Chief of Police.
