Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon closed on Monday to undergo a massive renovation. When it reopens in several months, it will have a new look and a new name.

Before it was Bill's, it was the Barbary Coast.

An icon on the Strip for several years, many Action News Facebook fans recall times spent at Bill's and the Barbary Coast.

Those fans shared their memories, both good and bad, on our Facebook page Monday:

Leslie: Best Chinese food!!!!

Patricia: It was always fun to go see Big Elvis over the years

Alex: I used to eat at the McDonald's in the basement back when it was Barbary Coast.

Annette: Barbary Coast had the most authentic Cantonese Chinese food years ago!!!

Jamie: I'll miss it and their daily drawings with a player's card.

Alan: I won 500 bucks there when I was 21

Dennis: I always remember it as the Barbary Coast!! My favorite place for Blackjack and Pai Gow Poker!

Tom: Barbary Coast had the cheapest breakfast buffet in town 25 years ago. That came in handy when I first moved to the valley, and funds were tight!

Scott: One word... Drais

Lucia: I will miss the dinner house in Bill's and the older machines

Linda: I met my best friend there!!!
