Deadly fire in east Las Vegas ruled a homicide
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police and arson investigators are working to determine what exactly happened after a body was found the garage of a house that caught fire early Tuesday morning.
Neighbors reported the blaze at about 2:15 a.m. on Glistening Sands Drive, near East Warm Springs Road and South Eastern Avenue.
Firefighters discovered flames coming from the garage of the home. They were able to extinguish the blaze within about ten minutes.
A body was found inside the garage.
Arson investigators with the Clark County Fire Department and homicide detectives with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department were called in to investigate after the fire was deemed suspicious.
LVMPD later said that the death of the person found appeared to be a homicide.
Nearby residents say just one person lived inside the single-story two-bedroom home.
