Suspect arrested, some animals recovered after string of pet store burglaries
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police have arrested one suspect in a string of recent pet store burglaries, and are looking for a person of interest.
Authorities say a juvenile was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of possession of stolen property. A bulldog and three bearded dragons were recovered.
An investigation also led police to two Siberian Huskies taken in a separate incident.
On Friday, three stolen exotic birds were also recovered after someone purchased them from an unknown person.
Police have identified an additional person of interest in the case, 23-year-old Juan Carlos Vasquez.
Several pets are still missing. Anyone with information on their whereabouts or details on the burglaries is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
