Coming up  tonight on Action News Live @ 11, Contact 13 Chief Investigator Darcy Spears follows the taxpayer money trail and exposes allegations of waste in a You Paid For It investigation.

School books, boxes upon boxes of books you paid for, left sitting around gathering dust for years and then dumped in the trash.

"The books were brand new," said Jim Nelson. "Math, science, other things."

Is this another case of school district waste that could have been avoided, or just the normal course of doing business?

"We're just throwing away money," Nelson said.

You decide, because you paid for it.
