Nature center set to open in Clark County
Clark County (KTNV) -- Nature lovers will soon have a new place to learn about wildlife in Southern Nevada.
The new Clark County Wetlands Park Nature Center Exhibit Gallery, located off Tropicana, is a 30,000 square foot complex.
It's surrounded by a raised observation deck that offers panoramic views of the entire park.
The complex is set to open this spring.
County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani talked about the importance of having this kind of facility, "It brings the urban in to a stress-free environment. It's quiet. You can watch actual animals in their natural habitat and it's 15 minutes from Henderson and downtown Las Vegas."
The nature center includes 13 miles of hiking trails, along with a 100 seat auditorium and information center.
