Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Three people are dead and one person is in critical condition after a shooting Tuesday afternoon in the 2200 block of La Sombra Street, near Smoke Ranch Road and Jones Boulevard.
Officers received reports of shots fired at around 4:20 p.m.
Upon arrival at the home, Las Vegas police discovered blood and bullet holes in the home. Neighboring homes were evacuated and police set up a perimeter in the area.
SWAT personnel made entry into the home at about 5:20 p.m.
Investigators say two women and one man are dead. Another man is in critical condition.
Police said all four victims were related and the shootings are possibly the result of a domestic disturbance.
The surviving male, now identified as 54-year-old James McCarty, will be arrested and booked in absentia for three counts of murder with a deadly weapon.
McCarty will be transported from the UMC Trauma Center to the Clark County Detention Center, after recovering from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Neighbors said an older couple lived in the home along with their adult son and daughter. They also said the family kept to themselves.
The identities of the victims and their cause of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
