Man suffers serious injuries after crashing into utility box
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police were called to a crash Sunday morning.
It happened near the intersection of Buffalo and Gilmore Avenue.
Police said a 22-year-old man was driving north on Buffalo, when he lost control and began sliding sideways.
The vehicle then crossed the center line and continued across the southbound lanes.
"He was traveling at a high rate of speed. As we all know, we had a lot of fog and some rain, it was moist on the roadways. It appears he tried to make a high rate of speed left hand turn, lost control of his vehicle and went across the opposite corner, where a light pole and utility box was," said Sgt. Richard Strader, Metro.
The man was transported to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries.
