Coroner identifies man stabbed to death at Wynn Palms Apartments
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner has identified the man killed Jan. 20 at the Wynn Palms Apartments, near Wynn Road and Twain Avenue, as 35-year-old Lawrence Velasquez from Las Vegas.
Las Vegas police say that Velasquez was killed after a fistfight began over a drug deal.
The incident began shortly before 2:50 p.m. Velasquez died from multiple stab wounds.
Another person was also stabbed and was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition.
Police arrested 32-year-old Nerio Nava. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of murder with use of a deadly weapon and attempted murder with a deadly weapon.
