Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - Construction cones are up all over the valley but when one viewer noticed no one working on a project she wondered why the cones weren't coming down. So she emailed Action News.

"I drive this route everyday to and from work. It's just a debacle," said Christine Yuhas.

Christine says she's often among those people in the long line on Jones waiting to turn Westbound on Sahara. Long, because only one of the two turn lanes is open.

"You have to sit in the light three cycles. It's been like that for months and months and months," said Christine.

She says she hasn't seen any construction workers out there for awhile and between the beeping and red light runners our Action News cameras caught, she says patience is running thin.

"Why can't we move the cones," wondered Christine.

Action News learned Las Vegas Paving is working on the job. They started it in December 2011 and can't lay down the final layer of asphalt until the warmer weather comes. So for safety reasons that turn lane will stay closed until the job is done.

Las Vegas Paving says Jones from Laredo to US 95 will be repaved so while it may be frustrating now, the end result will be a smoother ride for all.

"Everybody gets irritated and there's no reason for it," said Christine.

The work is expected to be done in April which will be a welcome site for Christine and the hundreds of other drivers in that area. We'd like to thank Christine for reaching out to us.
