Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The winner of a contest to name the wave pool at the new Wet 'n' Wild water park was announced Monday.
The wave pool will be called Red Rock Bay. Facebook users voted between five names to come up with the winning entry.

Runners up were The Ragin' Rebel, Neon Beach, Mojave Monsoon and Cactus Curl.
More than 2,300 people voted on the name for the wave pool, with Red Rock Bay taking a late lead to come out on top.
Ted Stringer submitted the winning entry, and will be awarded with a VIP experience during opening weekend at Wet 'n' Wild.
Construction on the wave pool is under way, with concrete side walls now poured.

The water park, located in the southwest part of the Valley, is scheduled to open this Memorial Day Weekend.
