Two women shot during soccer game at Teton Trails Park
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police were called to a shooting at a city park Saturday afternoon.
It happened around 11:15 a.m. at Teton Trails Park in the northwest part of the Valley, off Bradley Road near Decatur Boulevard.
Las Vegas Police told Action News shots were fired at a soccer game where 150 to 200 people were in attendance.
The game was part of the King Cup, featuring teams in the Soccer in Sun League, which is for men 35 to 60 years of age.
Two women, who were watching the game, were transported to UMC with non-life threatening injuries.
A 49-year-old was shot in the upper thigh; a 35-year-old had a bullet graze her chest.
Police said the shots were fired over a wall.
No arrests have been made.
The league told Action News the city has opened another field for them to continue their tournament Saturday afternoon.
The games will now take place at Buckskin Basin Park, near Gowan Road and Buffalo Drive.
Plans for the Sunday portion of the tournament are still up in the air.
The league would also like to send their condolences to the women injured in the shooting.
