Man identified in Wednesday's fatal motorcyle crash
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The motorcyclist that was killed in a crash on East Tropicana Avenue Wednesday afternoon has been identified as 38-year-old Joseph Anthony Deluca from Henderson.
The accident happened at about 3:40 p.m. near Philmar Avenue. According to witness statements, the motorcycle was traveling east on Tropicana Avenue in the right lane when Deluca began braking to avoid a slowdown in traffic.
Deluca was ejected from his bike and hit the back of a Chevrolet Tahoe.
Deluca was transported to Sunrise Hospital and pronounced dead.
No one in the Tahoe was injured.
Deluca's death is the 11th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas in 2013.
The accident is still under investigation.
