Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Animal Foundation of Las Vegas is asking for help to keep sheltered cats and dogs warm.

They said the cold weather can lead to animals getting sick just like humans.

Despite shelves of blankets right now, the Animal Foundation said the need for more is a constant battle.

"Giving them a blanket or a toy definitely makes their stay a lot better here," said Richardo Morales with the Animal Foundation.

The Animal Foundation accepts new or gently-used linens year round. They're asking for clean sheets, blankets or rugs without stuffing so they can be re-used when pets are adopted out.
