Vigil held for teen driver killed in Overton crash
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A vigil was held for a teen who was killed in a rollover crash in Overton on Tuesday.
17-year-old Tristan Ables died in a single-vehicle rollover crash just after 1 p.m. on Airport Road.
Police say he was driving a Ford pickup truck near the intersection of Ross Avenue when he lost control of the pickup.
Three people were inside the vehicle when it flipped. The two passengers of the car were able to escape without injuries. Tristan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Friends and classmates gathered Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. for a vigil at Moapa Valley High School. They held candles and shared their memories at the school.
The coroner ruled that Tristan died of blunt force trauma.
Police continue to investigate what caused the crash.
