Man killed in northeast Las Vegas shooting identified

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The man killed in a shooting on Monday evening in the northeast part of the Valley has been identified.

He was 40-year-old Carlos Rasmone Randle. 

Officers were called to the 400 block of Page Street at about 6:15 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

Police were then called to reports of shots fired at a nearby apartment complex on East Bonanza Road. A man, identified as 24-year-old Michael Roy Smith, was found injured with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Detectives believe Smith shot Randle on Page Street during a dispute with several people involved. After the shooting, police said he fled the scene and turned the gun on himself at the nearby apartment complex.

Smith was hospitalized in critical condition. He faces charges for murder with a deadly weapon on attempted murder with a deadly weapon.
