Local murder victim found in Arizona; suspects arrested in New Orleans
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The victim in a Las Vegas homicide was found in Kingman, Arizona on Monday. Police say the suspects dumped the body there before fleeing to New Orleans, where they were later arrested.
The body was found at about 1 p.m. Monday burning near an off-ramp in Kingman.
Investigators believe two men killed 33-year-old Jason Byes in Las Vegas on January 6 at an apartment complex on Lewis Avenue.
The two men then set Byes' body on fire in Kingman before heading to New Orleans, according to police.
Both men, 30-year-old Majunique Brown and 22-year-old Marshan Bowden, were arrested in New Orleans.
They face several charges including kidnapping and murder.
Bowden was also charged by New Orleans officials for possession of a stolen vehicle.
Both men remain in New Orleans awaiting extradition.
