Coroner IDs woman, 83, hit, killed in Vegas street
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Authorities have identified an 83-year-old woman who died after being struck by a pickup truck on a Las Vegas street.
Clark County coroner's officials say Doris J. Stoehr died after being struck about 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Officers say she had been crossing Decatur Boulevard outside a crosswalk when she was hit north of Vegas Drive.
The 58-year-old man driving the pickup truck was not injured.
The incident marks the fifth traffic-related death in Las Vegas police jurisdiction this year.
