Mayor Carolyn Goodman delivers State of the City address
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman delivered her State of the City address on Thursday evening, and she had lots to say.
As the crowd gathered before the speech, a slide show of the city's new attractions ran. It showed the Mob Museum, the new city hall, renovated hotels, the Neon Museum and the Smith Center.
When Mayor Goodman took the podium, she discussed how Las Vegas is recovering from the economic downturn.
She assured the audience that the days of widespread foreclosures will soon be behind us.
"There is no better place and no better time than now to be part of this city," Mayor Goodman said. "You have the ability to take advantage of what a great time it is to be in our city."
Mayor Goodman also touched on environmental initiatives, and promises to make Las Vegas a greener city in 2013.
