Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed in the northwest part of the Valley on Thursday morning.
Police said the 83-year-old woman was crossing Decatur Boulevard north of Vegas Drive at about 10:20 a.m. when she was struck by a pickup truck.
The woman was not in a marked crosswalk. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 58-year-old man, was not believed to be under the influence or speeding at the time of the collision.
Traffic in the area was shut down for several hours as police investigated.
The woman killed has not yet been identified.
