Standoff near Twain and Sandhill ends peacefully
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- SWAT was called to a standoff near Twain and Sandhill on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the incident started just after 1 p.m. while an eviction notice was being served at a residence on Shadow Wood Avenue.
The constable serving the notice heard a gunshot inside. He left the residence and immediately called police.
Authorities responded and SWAT was called to negotiate.
Nearby houses were evacuated as a precaution.
The standoff ended peacefully at about 3:15 p.m.
