North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- One man is dead following an overnight shooting in North Las Vegas.
Just before midnight Saturday, North Las Vegas police got a 911 call reporting a shooting in the apartment complex near Cheyenne Road and Civic Center Drive.
When officers arrived, they found an unidentified man lying on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on scene by medical personnel.
The preliminary investigation indicates the man was standing on the west end of a common area in the middle of the complex when he was shot.
The shooter may have fled on foot or in a vehicle. The suspect remains outstanding and detectives are not prepared to release suspect information at this time.
