Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The 53 contestants in the Miss America Pageant have arrived in Las Vegas for this week's preliminary competitions.
The pageant is being held at Planet Hollywood for the 8th consecutive year.
The contestants will spend the next week competing in the interview, lifestyle and fitness, talent and evening wear categories.
The competition will conclude on Saturday, Jan. 12. It will be broadcast on KTNV-TV Channel 13.
