Event at ice rink encourages safety on Las Vegas roads
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Two Las Vegas Valley parents are using the death of their daughter as a way to encourage safety on the roadway.
Hillary LaVoie was killed in a crash when a distracted driver lost control of her vehicle.
Her parents organized a "yellow out" at Fiesta Rancho ice rink where hundreds of teens wore yellow to remember the young girl.
The Hillary LaVoie effort also launched "Click It 4 Hill" and other events in memory of the teenager.
