8 people displaced by fire near Pebble & Fort Apache
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Eight people are displaced this morning after a fire at a home in the 9000 block of Iron Cactus Avenue, near West Pebble and South Fort Apache roads.
The Clark County Fire Department responded at about 2:53 a.m. this morning to multiple calls about the fire. The calls were from concerned neighbors.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within 10 minutes of making entry.
The home was badly damaged by heat, smoke and water and is temporarily uninhabitable. There was no one home at the time of the fire but four adults and four children have been displaced.
The preliminary damage estimate is $150,000.
The Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers will provide assistance to the residents that were displace.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
