MountainView Hospital to open new patient tower
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- More medical services will soon be available at MountainView Hospital.
A ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony was held Wednesday morning at a new three-story tower.
It includes an Emergency Room with 23 rooms, an intensive care unit with 12 beds and a nursing unit with 32 beds.
"We've grown with our community. Our hospital has grown in complexity, it has grown in scale as well as adding programs and added services, so we are expanding to add the capacity to accommodate our growth and services," said J.D. Melchiode, COO of MountainView Hospital.
By this summer, the hospital with open 32 more beds on the third floor of the tower as part of this multi-phase project.
The first phase will open to patients Jan. 7.
