Nevada voter registration tops 1.3M in December
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) -- The number of active registered voters in Nevada topped 1.3 million in December as Democrats extended their registration lead over Republicans.
Figures released Wednesday by the secretary of state's office shows Democrats now hold a 100,000 registration advantage over the GOP. In southern Nevada's Clark County, the lead is 137,000 and represents a gain of 10,000 since the November election.
Statewide, Democrats account for 42 percent of all active Nevada voters, while 34 percent are Republicans.
Nearly 18 percent are registered as nonpartisan and the rest are affiliated with a minor political party.
