Man dies after being struck by taxi in Henderson
HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) -- Authorities say a 61-year-old man is dead after being struck by a taxi in Henderson.
Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson says the crash was reported about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on Sunset Road near Marks Street.
Hixson tells the Las Vegas Sun the man was walking outside a crosswalk when a Deluxe Cab driver in a Scion struck him.
Officials say the taxi wasn't carrying any passengers at the time, and the driver was not injured.
The identity of the man who died has not yet been released.
