Broken Chains feeds hundreds of homeless at local Harley dealership
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- For the eighth year in a row, hundreds of homeless in the Las Vegas Valley got a chance to enjoy Christmas thanks to the Broken Chains Outreach Ministry and a local Harley-Davidson dealership.
Each person that attended today's event received a complete turkey dinner and gift bags including a thermal undershirt, underwear, socks, gloves, stocking caps, a Bible and other personal items.
Pastor Cody Huff with Hope Church started the Christmas tradition eight years ago with one turkey dinner and 12 homeless people in a local park.
More than 500 volunteers helped feed the crowd. The Hope Church Choir also performed and Pastor Dan Winkler of Case de Luz, a homeless ministry located in the Naked City, led a brief worship service.
The event took place at the Las Vegas Harley-Davidson dealership on South Eastern Avenue near Sahara Avenue.
