Las Vegas prayer service held for Newtown community
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- People in the Valley continue to honor the victims killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Sunday, the Sikh community hosted a special prayer service.
They also remembered those who have been killed around the world.
The prayer was held at the Sikh Temple on East Russell Road.
"We felt it was very important to have a prayer from the Las Vegas community. The Sikh community felt really bad about what happened over there," expressed Jaswant Singh.
Temple members said they felt it was important to provide support to Newtown, similar to the support they received when the shooting happened at the Sikh Temple in Wisconsin.
