Bellagio employee taken to hospital following altercation
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- An employee at the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip was taken to the hospital following an altercation with another employee.
It happened Friday, just before 10 p.m. in the casino.
Las Vegas Police confirmed to Action News it was two female employees involved. It's unclear what started the altercation.
Police said one of the women had an edged weapon and used it on the other woman, leaving deep lacerations to her face.
That woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where her condition is unknown.
50-year-old Brenda Jean Stokes was arrested on the scene for several charges including battery with a deadly weapon.
Action News spoke with a spokeswoman from the casino. She said they are cooperating with police in their investigation.
